Oral History of Wesley Phan

 

Wesley Phan was born and raised in San Jose, California. A graduate of California Polytechnic State University, he works as an engineer and resides in Milpitas, CA.

He talks about his life in San Jose, his relationship with his family and community, and his Vietnamese-American identity. He discusses what it means to be a Vietnamese American, as well as the hardships that come with it. He addresses his identity, community, the Vietnamese language, and cultural problems.
